Welcome to the Selsdon Half Marathon - 13.1 miles of sheer 'Heaven'!!!

The Selsdon Half Marathon is a unique half marathon held on a Saturday. It starts in the leafy town of Selsdon, a suburb of Croydon, and continues through Addington Park, Lloyd Park, South Croydon, Sanderstead, Purley, Warlingham, and finishes where it starts, in Selsdon. This is the perfect early season half marathon to start your running season out right. The course is hilly and will get you ready for any running challenges that lay ahead. The race starts and finishes at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse, 2-4 Selsdon Park Road, Selsdon, Surrey CR2 8JA.

Great offer of jelly babies at 9 miles - Perhaps also needed at 11 to be ready for the hill at 12 miles. Friendly atmosphere all round.

I was a little sceptical about running a big run on the pavements with no road closures but I shouldn’t have been. It was so well organised and marshalled.

You need to be aware that this is a pavement race - the roads are not sealed off for you. But it is not that big a deal as long as you watch where you tread. Not a course for PBs!
