Dehydration – always an important consideration. There will be water pick-up stations every few miles. Please ensure you take on sufficient water before and during the run.
Sun stroke – it could be a hot day, use sun barrier cream and consider wearing a hat.
First Aid – safety stewards will be on hand over the course to assist you if you need help. There will be a First Aid post based at the Selsdon Ward Meetinghouse (the starting and finishing point) and a St John’s Ambulance Cycle Response Unit will be available if you need emergency services.
Help along the way – Race marshals will be positioned at strategic points along the course. They will make sure you stay on the right route and are there to provide assistance if you run into difficulties.
Police Approval – The Half Marathon route will be both on and off road. The Police have approved the course on the understanding that runners will cross roads at controlled signals and zebra crossings. Route markers will be placed to clearly identify the course.
